Framing (Rough Carpentry)
In addition to Decks and Outdoor Structures, Tool & Trade has over 15 yrs of experience in residential framing (rough carpentry) in both new build and remodel constructions. This includes window and door installation.
From smaller projects like Sheds and Structural Alterations and Repairs to larger projects like ADUs/DADUs, Tiny Homes, and New Build Construction, we have the experience and attention to detail to make sure your project runs smoothly and turns out right.

5-YR “No Worries” Warranty
In addition to ensuring you’re satisfied with your project, we warranty all (unless specifically mentioned beforehand) of our work for 5 years from the date of project completion. We build our decks with longevity and safety in mind, exceeding code requirements (Washington Deck Code and IRC 2021) and using methods and materials that help your deck last longer with as little maintenance as possible.
Fully Covered
Any improper installation practice (ex: missed joist hangers, loose boards, etc)
Structural deficiencies (ex: sinking due to insufficient footing size, sag due to insufficient joist sizing, etc)
Water damage due to improper/missing flashing installation or weather resistive barrier installation (at deck ledger where the deck connects to the house)
Deck Structure wood rot
Newly installed siding failure (loose boards, water intrusion, paint failure, etc)
Paint or sealant (blistering, peeling, etc)
Not Covered
These items aren’t covered, but we understand accidents happen,
so we offer a 15% discount on fixing the following:

Hi there, I’m Drew! I started Tool & Trade with the desire to do things a little differently. Growing up building houses with my Dad, I fell in love with the process of building with skill and attention to detail. After I started my company, I began to notice a lack of communication, integrity, and goodwill in the construction space. I wanted to fix that.
So that's what we aim to do here at Tool & Trade. We strive to build beautiful spaces for folks that last for decades. And we work to do that while working with our clients, to understand what they need and want, to aid them in their decision-making, and to treat them like people, not paychecks.
